Geraçao Tombamento

The “geração tombamento” from the verb “tombar” (to overturn) is a group of young black Brazilians who have decided to give visibility to the black culture and the mistreated minorities of the country.
Linked to the most varied arts (music, cinema, fashion, dance) they seek through the aesthetics and pride of “overthrowing” the perception and the role that blacks and minorities (women and LGBT people) have in Brazil.
In a strongly multiethnic country but absolutely still racist, homophobic and sexist this black movement linked to the art world is growing more and more each year.
Pushing on an aesthetic always very attentive to the “afro” origins, the leaders of Geracao Tombamento are giving strength to all young Brazilians who feel attacked as a minority.
